OK... I just wanted to put this out there. BEWARE of the product SNUGGIE. For those of you that do not know what this is, it is a blanket type wrap that has sleeves so you can stay wrapped up while you read, knit, etc... I wanted to purchase one for my mother in laws birthday. What started out as a relatively easy process has turned into a nightmare! First, their website is so confusing that even someone who has order items online before needs to be wary. Page after page gives you information with the assurance that you can, pick the colors you want, or amount you want at a later time. OK.. so I get to those pages and it states, pick the color for the first snuggie. I do so. The next page says the same thing, pick the color of your next snuggie. I do this also. By the 3rd page I am beginning to wonder, since I only ordered 2 with the buy 2 for 19.95 promo... So I go to the check out menu, and find out that my order has ALREADY gone through, with no page to visually verify if the order was correct and I have actually purchased 6 snuggies instead of 2??? So now in a panic, I am looking for a customer service number, web address, something. Nothing to be found. Go figure... No web contact, no human to talk to (the phone number goes straight to an automated service), etc. So I had to wait until business hours and called the automated response. I went through ALL their prompts to cancel the order. At the end of the call, I was assured the order HAD been cancelled. Imagine my surprise when I receive the email this morning that the items had been shipped!! Even with their "return"policy, I will still be out $50 for shipping, and will have to pay ANOTHER $50 too ship it back. WHAT THE HECK IS UP WITH THAT!! I have never dealt with such a horrible company and I have dealt with some whoppers! They are VERY unprofessional and now I waiting to see if it is a scam...More to come...

Okay, so here's the deal...

Every five years or so I get a wild hair to cut my hair off. The thought of this horrifies my hubby to no end. I've skated past forty and have had really long hair for the last five years. (Almost to my waist...) I was the typical girl who's mother always kept their hair pixie short. I didn't get to grow it out until Jr. high. It is so strange, the mix of emotions that you go through for something as simple as cutting the length of your hair. Will I be less feminine? Will a short hair style make me looking like I'm the Pillsbury dough boy? Will it REALLY be easier to take care of? It is ridiculous how women put themselves through heck for things that in the end are trivial. *Sigh*

Well, Christmas is over and the melancholy has set in. This will probably be the last year that our family all lives under the same roof. Our eldest daughter is in college and will probably be out on her own some time next year. Our youngest is a Senior in high school and already talking about wanting to go away to college. (I'm trying to talk her into at least staying in the same state!) *sigh* It seems so strange, one minute they are running around catching butterflies, and the next, they are packing up to start their collegiate life.

Four days until Christmas!! Can you believe it? It seems to be coming up soooo fast. *sigh* This time of year seems to make me feel especially old. Don't get me wrong. It's my favorite time, but it comes up and is gone before we know it. Chances are our family dynamic will be different this time next year. Our oldest will be out on her own and will not be living at home anymore. Our youngest will be going into college. No telling what that will mean.... I just pray that no matter where the next year takes us, we can stay as close as we are right now.

I guess you could say I am becoming increasingly addicted to Facebook. I find it a refreshing alternative to MySpace. It's fun to keep in touch/follow friends that have moved away.Dunno... one more thing to occupy my limited time :/

Christmas is drawing nearer and I keep getting these waves of terror.Did I get everyone's presents? Will they like what I got them? And in the case of having 2 girls... did I buy evenly???? *sigh* This is my absolute favorite time of year. I don't understand why I make it so freakin' complicated!!
